And I can’t freaking wait! Like OMG! I get to dress up, then sit down, and taste a ton of Caribbean food, around a bunch of new people, without actually going to a freaking wedding?
(Note: This is a sponsored post! However, all opinions expressed below are my own. Thanks for the tickets Simply Caribbean, I can’t freaking wait!)
Like seriously y’all, I live for weddings! I love the cutesy stuff… the walk down the aisle, the crying bride, the crying groom (that’s usually the best part, lol) but what I REALLY love is the FOOD!
Don’t lie and act like you don’t too! We all do! And what’s better than going to a Caribbean wedding with Caribbean food? Going to an event that you don’t have to buy a new dress for that has Caribbean food! Duh! LOL
Debra, from Simply Caribbean, a food blog, will be hosting a food tasting event this month and it looks like it’s going to be awesome! I mean I was convinced just looking at the damn photos on the event page. LOL
Like this one!
When have you EVER seen ackee and saltfish on bread look so damn good? OMG! I didn’t even know there was a fancy way to plate saltfish, I swear! LOL (But this is great because I want my wedding food to be half Caribbean food and now I know this is gonna work! Oh yeah!)
But if that photo isn’t enough to convince you to buy a ticket today, then here’s something that might. This isn’t just gonna be a “Jamaican food” event, (I know y’all non-Caribbean people think every Caribbean dish is Jamaican, lol) but it’s not and there’s going to be all kinds of Caribbean dishes! So that means, Spanish food, East Indian food and even Asian food! (Yes Caribbean people does eat chinese food! Doh mek them fool yuh, eh! LOL I actually learned that a few months ago when I went to St. Vincent, which is where my family is from. P.s – Caribbean chinese food > American chinese food LOL) Plus, there’s gonna be a lot of vegetarian options as well! So you ain’t got no excuse not to come! LOL
That’s why I said this is gonna be like a wedding, without the wedding!
And it’s all going to be served buffet style, which means you can serve yo damn self! (Unless you buy a VIP ticket, which will allow you to sit down and be served at your table. Owww!) VIP ticket holders will also be allowed in 30 minutes early, given special appetizers and a drink, and will go home with a swag bag filled with goodies! (Plus, they’re only $10 more than a general admission ticket, so it’s totally worth it!)
Ugh, I can’t wait! I’m all excited. LOL I normally don’t go to events during the weekend, but I just couldn’t pass this one up! Oh, but before I forget, it’s going to be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at two different times: 11:30am and 2:30pm, in Brooklyn, NY at Royal Paradise. (Funny enough, I’ve always wanted to go there to, so this event is sorta like a kill two birds with one stone kinda thing. LOL)
If you need more information than that, click this!
Other than that, I’ll see you there! Well, I better see some of you. LOL (And buy a VIP ticket, so you can sit with me! You know how I hate sitting alone. LOL)
But seriously, are you convinced? Will you be attending? Do you even eat Caribbean food? (Or are you at least interested in trying something new?)
Talk to me!
